This Portland Maine Coastal Romantic Wedding Elopement is one of my favorites. I am just so excited to share it with you! I have dreamt of the day where I could fly out to Maine and photograph a bride and groom on the rocky Portland ME, beaches! My parents live in Maine, and so celebrating this great state is very near and dear to me heart. This was a dream-come-true Maine wedding. I couldn’t have been more thrilled to be a Portland Maine Wedding Photographer for the day, and hope I get to do it again soon!
Wedding Vows were said oceanside with no one else around.
These two had the most intimate vow ceremony on the rocky coastline of Maine. It was just they two of them, and their love. Maine is known for it’s epic coastline’s. There was no better spot to say I do than right next to The Portland Headlight at Ships Cove Beach. Oftetimes a big wedding can feel overwhelming, and sometimes you can loose sight of what’s important, and that’s the two of you! Running off to the ocean shoreline and saying vows to one-another alone really allows for the focus to stay on what matters most. An elopement fit these two perfectly, and the intimate wedding experience they longed for.
A perfect wedding table for two was setup on the rocks for them.
With stunning flowers from Watershed Floral , and a tablescape setup from World Market , we had the perfect little tables for them to enjoy. With the addition of some enjoyed a charcuterie and some Champagne. It was the cutest little table for two, to celebrate them, and still allow for this day to feel like their own mini wedding! We of course had to include Maine blueberries which is the state fruit, and handwritten calligraphy vows to keep those personal touches alive. Everything was handpicked and tailored to fit thier personal tastes, and give them the wedding they always dreamt about!
They were the most stunning Maine Bride and Groom.
It was so important for the two of them to feel that this truly was their wedding day. No detail was spared when planning their big day! Dressing the part was key. Her stunning Truvelle wedding dress was from A & Be Bridal Shop; it fit the flow of the ocean, and mirrored the gentle coastal breezes. She had the perfect bridal look with her hair and makeup from Stacia Tetrault Beauty! He looked so very dapper in his blue pinstripe stupid from Nordstrom specifically chosen in blue to mirror the blues of the ocean. Every detail was picked out carefully to show of their wedding style, and compliment the Portland Maine Coastal vibe.
This Portland Maine Coastal Romantic Wedding Elopement was simply perfection.
To end the evening at sunset they wandered along the coastline hand in hand with one another, keeping the focus on the two of them. Watching the sun go down together, and breathing in the ocean air, each other, and celebrating their love.
“ Because there’s nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it’s sent away.” – Sarah Kay
