Natural and Joyful Denver Newborn Family Photos

I don’t often get to photograph family sessions but when I do I love photographing Natural and Joyful Denver Newborn Family Photos! The Cook family recently welcomed their new little Mr. into their home and lives. It was such a joy to capture this special time for them.

My approach with newborn sessions is to keep things as relaxed, simple, and natural as possible.

You’ve just gone through such a life changing event, not to mention the craziness of giving birth. So we choose a time when baby is well fed, and usually at his/her best (most often this is in the morning). In regards to the way I approach newborn photo sessions. We try to do things the way you typically do at home. If baby needs to be fed, changed, swaddled, the works – we let them run the show. Keeping things casual and relaxed. We take pictures of snuggling, and all the previous things I mentioned really trying to capture that essence of what it’s like to have a newborn at home. We don’t do a lot of baby posing, to keep things light and natural. It’s such a sweet and fleeting time of life, and I love to photograph new babes and their families whenever possible.

The Cook family is so sweet together, I love this darling family! Big sister is stepping into her new role as such a champ, and adores her new baby brother. They are such a joy to photograph, and made my job so very easy.
