What a joyful Mountainside Intimate Aspen Wedding this day was!
What could be a better backdrop for a destination wedding than Aspen, Colorado? Matt and Cara were wed on the top of Buttermilk Mountain at 9,900 ft in the most beautifully intimate ceremony. Their wedding was featured in Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine, and below is some of the write up used in the article.
Matt and Cara have the sweetest dating and engagement story.
During the summer of 2016, Cara and Matt connected through the beloved Bumble in Chicago. Their first date took place over brunch, yet eventually led to a Gin Blossoms concert followed by a nightcap at a nearby jazz club. Matt made Cara laugh, and she knew there was something special about him. The two became inseparable! In December of 2017, the couple vacationed in Costa Rica. They snorkeled, hit the spa, and celebrated over a beautiful dinner where Matt got down on one knee and asked Cara to be his wife. Elated, she said, “Yes!” They planned a romantic, summer wedding in Aspen for August 4th.
Cara always dreamed of getting married mountainside. With an intimate community, stunning views, and endless adventure, Aspen played the perfect host to their wedding weekend. The experience was the shock value and wow factor Cara and Matt hoped to share with their guests.
There’s nothing quite like the top of Buttermilk mountain to express your love to one another.
Cara, Matt, and their closest family and friends had their ceremony at the top of Buttermilk mountain. They performed a ring passing ceremony before “I do!” The rings were passed from guest to guest in a delicate, white dish where positive thoughts, prayers, and blessings were shared. The couple adored the idea of the rings being touched by everyone present before saying their vows and committing the rest of their lives to one another.
Brynn with First Look Events planned an incredible Mountainside Intimate Aspen Wedding for these two. She created a romantic and unique to Cara and Matt day, that had everyone smiling with such joy the entire time. We especially loved the touches of turquoise that were mixed into the beautiful color palette, and the flowers by Plum Sage Flowers. It was so obvious that Matt and Cara were having the best day ever, but even more, so that they had eyes only for one another. What a special celebration of their love this wedding day was.
