These Classy Flying Denver Engagement Pictures at Centennial Airport were so incredible to photograph. Being a Denver Engagement Photographer brings so much adventure I can hardly handle it. What a way to start out my photographic season for 2017 with this awesome airplane engagement session!
When Kendra took me aside and told me her surprise plan for their engagement pictures, I was over the moon and giddy with excitement. Her hubby to be, Dan, has his pilot’s license. And so she thought what better way to celebrate their love, than to surprise him by taking him up in the air for their engagement session. We didn’t tell Dan where we were meeting for their photos – just that we were taking their engagement pictures that day. Much to his surprise we ended up at the Centennial airport.
We took some time to take in the surprise, and then fly away.
There were so many adorable little planes everywhere; it was such fun to walk out on the runway looking at all the different aircrafts. Then we had a pilot take us up, up, and away in a teeny-tiny four seater plane. It was honestly the most incredible way to see Denver – from the sky. It was a warm(ish) winter day, of about 45 degrees. While we did have some cloud cover, we could still see the mountains and the city of Denver so clearly. We swept over the foothills, and went south first; then more up North towards Golden CO. Our pilot then took us East towards Denver. He explained where we were at every moment, and pointed out the landmarks we are so used to seeing from the ground. Seeing Red rocks, and all the lakes, the mountains and frozen rivers, and finally the city of Denver from the air was indescribable.
Dressing up super classy for your engagement pictures can be such fun!
The two of them started out with more of a casual look (especially for when we were up in the air – they needed to be comfy). Then they both changed into incredibly classy outfits for the second half of their engagement session. Kendra looked so killer in her long-sleeved black dress by ISSA London and Kate Spade heals. Dan looked so dapper in his grey suite. Smash Beauty Bar did a fabulous job on her makeup. I always recommend getting your makeup trial done for your engagement pictures. You are insured to look incredible; also you will get to see how your makeup will translate in your pictures for your wedding day.
The memory of these Flying Denver Engagement Pictures at Centennial Airport will always be so dear to my heart.
I was truly honored that Dan and Kendra took me on this adventure with them. They welcomed me into such a special part of their lives, and allowed me to capture their epic engagement session. What an incredible job I have! I am so thankful for the wonderful couples that I work with. They trust me with such intimate parts of their lives, and I’m blessed to be a part of it. We spent the rest of the evening walking around the airport, and taking pictures near the planes. I absolutely cannot wait for their summer wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens with We Tie the Knots! If their engagement session was this amazing, I can’t hardly wait for the big day!
