I NOTICE THE THINGS OTHERS MISS, THE QUIET GLANCES, THE HELD HANDS, THE MOMENTS THAT ONLY HAPPEN ONCE. FOR COUPLES WHO WANT THEIR WHOLE STORY TOLD, NOT JUST THE POSED ONE.

I’ve been watching people closely since I was a little girl, spotting what everyone else drives right past. That’s what I bring to your wedding day — an eye that catches the real thing, as it's happening.

I grew up in Zimbabwe, a small country that somehow holds every kind of landscape

imaginable. Drive an hour north, south, or west and the whole world around you changes —

tall grasslands stretching farther than you can see, mountains rising up out of nowhere in

Nyanga, rivers and valleys and red dirt roads. I think I learned to really see long before I ever

picked up a camera, just from growing up somewhere so different from itself, mile to mile.

We would often go on game drives, and I was always the one who spotted the animals first.

Giraffes were my favorite to find, for such a big animal, they blend into the trees so well,

especially when they’re standing still, and they weren’t nearly as easy to spot as the

antelope and everything else out there. They were my mom’s favorite too, so finding one

always felt like a little win, and I loved being the one to spot it for her. Still, to this day, here

in Colorado, I’m the one who sees the deer on the side of the road before anyone else in the

car does. I grew up watching. And that’s translated straight into photography, I’m

constantly observing, constantly noticing things other people can’t quite spot yet.

I also grew up learning to respect people whose lives looked nothing like mine, different

languages, different traditions, entirely different ways of moving through the world, and to

call them friends anyway, to love them anyway. That’s stayed with me. I think it’s part of why

I can walk into a wedding full of strangers I’ve never met and feel so at home there, almost

immediately.

But if I’m honest, it’s my grandmothers who taught me to love photography, long before I

knew that’s what was happening. My Nana, my mom’s mom, had the deepest, loudest,

most beautiful laugh you’ve ever heard, and she loved her family so fiercely. We were always

on her lap. She cooked and gardened like it was its own love language.

My other grandmother lived up in the Nyanga mountains. She adored photography, and she’s the one who

put my first camera, a little Pentax film camera, in my hands. She was always lining my

sisters and me up in matching outfits, snapping away, and looking back, she’s the one who

kept a part of our family’s history alive, one photograph at a time. I didn’t know it then, but she gave

me my whole career that day.

Marriage is my greatest inspiration too. It’s a beautiful, ever-evolving journey, two people

choosing each other again and again, through every high and every low. Love isn’t always

perfect, but it’s always real, and it’s always worth telling. I’m currently celebrating seventeen

years with my husband, Adam. He’s my biggest supporter, the one who encouraged me to steal

his camera and pour my heart into this business in the first place. He often photographs weddings

right alongside me, and there’s truly nothing I love more than creating together, side by side.

Becoming a mama has deepened my love for preserving these fleeting moments in ways I

never expected. Motherhood has taught me to slow down, to savor the in-between, to

notice how quickly it’s all slipping by. It’s in the way your child squeezes your hand just a

little tighter, or how their eyes light up at the sound of your voice, those small, quiet

moments are everything.

That sensitivity has shaped how I photograph. I’m not just after

how things look. I want to capture how they feel. I see stories now in the smallest gestures,

the softest touches, the tiniest exchanges of love, and my lens is always looking for the

honest, emotional connection that makes your story yours.

Zimbabwe will always be part of me, but the Colorado mountains are where my heart has

found home. And I feel so lucky that this career takes me all over the world, capturing love

stories in some of the most breathtaking places imaginable.

Photography has been part of me since that Pentax landed in my ten-year-old hands. I’m

now sixteen years into running my own wedding photography business, and it’s been the

most rewarding journey, full of growth, creativity, and connection.

My style is classic, heartfelt, and full of genuine emotion. I want you to look back at your

images decades from now and still feel exactly what you felt on your wedding day. I believe

in timeless beauty, photos that never go out of style because they capture real love, real

laughter, real moments. I pour my whole heart into every wedding I photograph, guiding you

gently while letting your personalities and your love shine through, naturally, the way they’re

meant to.

I don’t just photograph you and move on, either. I actually remember my couples, all of them.

A couple I photographed ten years ago recently reached out, so sure there was no way I’d remember them,

and I knew exactly who they were within seconds. That’s just how it is for me.

Every single wedding, when I’m leaving the reception, I stop for a second and look back.

And it’s always a little sad, if I’m honest, because it’s over, and I already miss them.

I don’t think that feeling ever really goes away. I hope it never does.
